From our founder
A simple ritual born from a very real need.
Tui & Moon began with my own experience of postpartum hair loss. I wanted something that could support my scalp and hair, yet still feel gentle enough to become part of my everyday routine.
After struggling to find a product that offered that balance, I began exploring the botanicals around me. What started with rosemary from the garden gradually became a carefully considered scalp-care ritual and, ultimately, Tui & Moon Botanicals.
Today, we are a small, family-owned New Zealand business creating botanical hair and scalp care with simplicity and consistency in mind. Every product is designed to make caring for your scalp feel easy, calming and worthwhile.

Native beauty
The tūī is a treasured native bird of Aotearoa, known for its distinctive song and beautiful plumage. It represents the natural, expressive and uniquely New Zealand spirit we want our botanical range to embody.
Moon
Marama · family connection
Marama, meaning moon in te reo Māori, is also a treasured family name and reflects our connection to whakapapa. The moon represents light, beauty and a calm presence—qualities woven throughout the Tui & Moon brand.
